What is Backyard Finance?
Backyard Finance is a Solana-based DeFi protocol that acts as a yield manager for stablecoins, RWAs, stocks, and other yield products on Solana. It lets users combine and allocate capital across multiple yield vaults from different protocols into a single, diversified position. Backyard Finance solves the fragmentation problem in Solana DeFi, where users often have to manage yields manually across lending, borrowing, liquidity, and other opportunities, which make up a large portion of the ecosystem's TVL.

How does Backyard Finance Work?
With Backyard Finance, users select their desired yield vaults, set a custom allocation across them, and deposit in just 1 click that merges multiple positions into a unified strategy. There is no need to hold a specific asset either, as Backyard handles the underlying swap via Dflow, so users can deposit in any token. From there, it automatically compounds returns and captures available incentives. At the same time, everything stays liquid and easy to manage from one place.
Backyard Finance Web App
One of Backyard Finance’s key features is that users can mint its liquid stablecoin, BYD, against their custom strategy LP tokens. This means that you can keep earning from the underlying yield strategy while unlocking extra liquidity to use elsewhere. In the screenshot below, a variety of stablecoins from multiple providers are available. Some of these stablecoins are from Solana DeFi platforms such as Kamino, Perena and Jupiter.

The Backyard Finance Dashboard provides all the necessary details on a user’s open positions. Information such as the total amount of a position, estimated APY and the visual representation of the portfolio value over time is displayed on the user’s Dashboard page. This makes it easy for users to access all their positions across different vaults in a single interface. After selecting a vault, click on “Deposit” and deploy your capital. Withdrawing is next to deposit, as seen in the image below.

Backyard Finance Seeker Dapp
Backyard Finance is available as a mobile application on the Solana dApp Store, giving Seeker owners an easier way to access its yield management tools. Instead of relying on a computer or using the web version through wallet providers, users can manage their positions directly from a native app built for the Seeker phone.
After downloading the application, connect your default wallet to get started. Select the vaults you want to allocate your asset to, examine the APY and other simulations provided before the final deposit, and approve if you want to proceed.

As seen in the web application, the portfolio and dashboard pages give users a clear view of their positions, yields, and overall performance across Backyard Finance strategies.

Please note that these Backyard Finance Seeker app demos above were supplied to us by their team, as we temporarily did not have full access to the app.
Ecosystem Recognition
Backyard Finance recently won the Solana Mobile Monolith Hackathon for its focus on mobile-first DeFi. The win demonstrates the team's effort to make yield management more accessible on Solana, especially for Seeker phone users.
Platform
Backyard Finance is available on both the web and the Seeker Dapp Store. Solana users can access the web version by following the steps in the “Using the Web App” section. Those with a Solana Seeker device can search for “Backyard Finance” on the Dapp Store to install the yield management app. Since Backyard Finance is still in active development, some features are not yet available or fully functional.
Conclusion
Backyard Finance offers a simpler way to manage stablecoin yields on Solana by combining multiple strategies into a single diversified position, all in a mobile-friendly way. Instead of manually moving capital across different vaults and protocols, users can access yield opportunities, track performance, and manage deposits from a single interface.
