CHOMP

CHOMP turns your opinions into a game where you vote on questions and statements, then earn rewards if your answer matches what the majority picked. It's like a prediction market for everyday takes - just guess what the crowd will think, and if you're right, you get paid from the prize pool.

What is Chomp?

Chomp is an onchain social game built on Solana that turns opinions into markets. Anyone can share a statement or prediction, and the community votes on whether they agree. If your “vibe” matches the crowd’s, you earn rewards for choosing what is the people’s choice. Chomp is a simple way to turn everyday opinions into something fun, interesting, and potentially profitable for participants.

How Chomp Works

Each post on Chomp is called a “Vibe.” A Vibe is a simple statement or question that people can vote on. Votes happen on-chain, so everything is transparent. This is how Chomp implements the Solana blockchain because of its speed and cheap fees. When the voting period ends, the side with the majority gets rewarded. The people who voted in line with the majority share the pot, while those on the other side miss out on the earnings.

Chomp is basically a social sentiment turned into a prediction market, but instead of complicated charts, you just pick the side you think the crowd will lean towards.

Using the Chomp DApp

To get started with Chomp, users must familiarize themselves with the homepage. This is where the major quests are posted for all to participate. Sharing opinions is as easy as selecting one of the available gaming quests and answering them.

Dashboard

After connecting the wallet, the dashboard displays the Points, Credits and Streak of the user’s wallet. It provides an overview of available games to participate in. By selecting any open Opinion in the “Share Opinions” section, users can answer questions in the current contest.

Leaderboard

Chomp has a leaderboard page for players with the highest points. The leaderboard is also available in different categories such as overall, daily and weekly. Stack-specific ranking is also included.

History

The History page helps track past events. If the results for any games participated in are not yet out, users can see it from the history section. From the image below, “Reveals in 14 hours” means I’ll have to wait for the 24 hours to be completed before I see the results of the competition.

Rewards

All campaigns (except the trials and tutorials) come with rewards. They are hidden in the mystery boxes for each game a user participated in.

Stacks

Stacks are categories of items that are grouped together under a particular theme. Once new decks are available in any of the categories, users with enough credits allowed as entry costs can participate.

Participating in a Contest

In the example below, I will be joining the Sports as Metaphors pt.1 quiz to earn 70,000 Bonk tokens and some credits.

All participating users must have the required balance for the contest. As shown below, 14 credits cost 0.007 SOL.

By creating your own questions, you can earn points on Chomp. Additionally, you get to earn points for every user who answers your uploaded questions.

How to Earn on Chomps

Earning on Chomp comes down to reading the crowd. If you create a good Vibe that attracts engagement, you earn fees. If you vote with the majority, you share in the prize pool. Users can stake tokens to boost their Vibes or add liquidity to grow the market. The more accurately you read on sentiment, the more you earn. I will be purchasing some credits to show the steps in voting and how to use the Chomp application itself.

Conclusion

Chomp is part of a new wave of social crypto apps that make on-chain activity more interactive. Turning opinions into “vibe markets” makes sentiment fun and liquid. Chomp makes it easy to earn for having an opinion. Whether you’re a creator posting a hot take or a voter reading the room, there’s always a chance to match the crowd and share the rewards.
