What is Nomadz?
Nomadz is a travel platform and aggregator that finds cheaper accommodation for people attending blockchain events around the world. Users can save even more by paying with cryptocurrency. On top of that, Nomadz has a rewards system where you earn USDC, NFTs, and XP based on your travel history and referrals.

Benefits of using Nomadz
Stays can be up to 60% cheaper with Nomadz as the platform aggregates stays from the APIs of 30+ Online Travel Platforms (OTAs), compares prices with Expedia, and offers its users the best deals possible. With Nomadz, your travel activity is tied to an on-chain identity with a verifiable record of where you’ve been and what you’ve participated in. This can be useful, for example, as proof of global experience. There’s also a strong community layer, since you’re travelling with people attending the same events. Nomadz makes it easier for existing communities in the ecosystem to connect at events.
Setting up a Nomadz Profile
To get started, sign up to Nomadz with a Solana address, a Google account or a Twitter profile.

Click on the User icon on the right side of the page to complete the onboarding process. Then select “Profile”.

The next two pages prompt you to fill in your personal details, such as name, email address, and your chosen username. Once that’s done, your profile page is created, and you can go ahead and mint your Nomad ID.

Minting an On-chain Identity
Before minting, you can add a profile picture if you want, and it will show up on your Nomad ID once it’s created. Click “Mint Nomad ID” to generate your on-chain ID as a soulbound token, meaning it can’t be transferred to another wallet. Make sure you’re using the right wallet, since your Nomadz profile and ID will be tied to it. Choose a colour, then mint. At the time of writing, minting the ID costs about $5 in SOL.

Quests
Nomadz XP is earned by completing tasks like minting your ID and following Nomadz (and partner accounts) on platforms like Twitter, Medium, and Instagram. If you travel for events, you can also upload proof on Nomadz to earn additional XP. There are several ways to earn XP without trying to game the system. For example, booking accommodation on Nomadz currently comes with an XP boost that matches 1 XP with a dollar spent, where the total amount spent is multiplied by the user’s multiplier. So if a traveller spends $400, they earn 400 XP (multiplied by the user’s multiplier, which is based on their loyalty score).

Badges
Badges earned show what a user has done in the past under the categories Essentials, Events and Countries. Essentials such as the Nomad ID badge are for the user’s loyalty and usage of the Nomadz platform. For Events, users can claim badges for attending past events by uploading photos from the hangouts. The same applies to countries visited. The page lists previous events that can be claimed, and claiming them earns XP rewards.

Communities
With the help of Matrica, holders of specific NFTs (i.e., members of these communities) can earn XPs by connecting their account to show proof of ownership of an item in this collection.

Settings
In the settings page, some personal details such as name and phone number can be updated and saved.

Booking a Venue through Nomadz
Enter the location in the search bar along with your check-in and check-out dates to find the best place near the event. You can then narrow things down using filters like the type of accommodation (hotel or Airbnb), hotel star rating, and your preferred price range per night.

Selecting a venue shows a detailed view of the property along with a map to help you get there. You can also see the available rooms in the apartment, each listed with its price.

Events
In this section, Nomadz lists global events happening on Solana under the Solana category, and broader blockchain ecosystem events under the Crypto category. The final category covers network state locations in places where builders and startup teams with shared interests across different areas of technology come together. Participants range from people working in AI and blockchain to others across emerging tech, all collaborating around the idea of building and sustaining more independent, self-organized communities.

Referrals
Sharing a referral link with friends or other active travellers earns you up to 50% of Nomadz revenue and extra XP. The Nomadz referral also extends one level higher if someone you invite brings in another user; you still earn 5% from that activity. For example, if I invite 0xCat, I earn 25% from their spend. If 0xCat then invites 0xPigeon, I earn 5% from 0xPigeon as well.

Conclusion
Nomadz brings together travel, community, and on-chain identity into a single experience built around events. By lowering accommodation costs through shared, event-based stays and rewarding users with XP and verifiable activity, it turns travel into something that’s both more affordable and more meaningful.
