What Is Oro Finance?
Oro Finance is a real-world asset (RWA) protocol on Solana that brings gold onchain in the form of tokenized, yield-bearing assets. Instead of holding physical bullion or traditional gold ETFs, users can access gold exposure directly from their wallets and also benefit from DeFi composability.

How Oro Finance Works
Oro Finance mints GOLD, a Solana token that is backed by a 1:1 ratio of oz Gold. This GOLD token represents claims on real gold held in custody. These tokens can be deposited into Oro’s onchain vaults strategies (through Earn), where they generate yield from carefully selected onchain sources. The protocol handles minting, redemption, and yield distribution transparently on Solana. To start using Oro, you must verify your identity through a KYC process that requests a passport, a driver’s license or another document that is from the user’s government.

ORO integrates directly with Jupiter’s routing engine and Meteora’s DLMM pools to make GOLD fully liquid and easy to use across Solana DeFi. Through this setup, users can swap GOLD instantly with good routing that minimizes slippage and finds the best available prices. Beyond simple swaps, users can also add liquidity to Meteora DLMM pools, actively manage their liquidity positions, and earn fees while supporting the markets for GOLD.

In the Trade page, a user can exchange USDC for GOLD or swap their GOLD for some USDC. This is possible because of the liquidity available to ease the trade.

Yield on Tokenized Gold
Unlike passive gold holdings, Oro’s Earn feature allows users to earn returns on their gold exposure. Through structured strategies and integrations with DeFi liquidity venues, users can put idle gold assets to work while still tracking the underlying gold price. Please note that the gold deposited in Oro is locked for 12 months to maximize rewards.

Composability in DeFi
Because Oro’s gold tokens live natively on Solana, they can be used across the DeFi product suites as collateral, in liquidity pools, or as part of portfolio strategies alongside stablecoins and SOL-based assets. Also, gold purchased on Oro can be redeemed physically. The team ensures a smooth delivery process once the location is settled after a redemption request is made.

Conclusion
Oro bridges traditional wealth storage with decentralized finance. By turning gold into a productive onchain asset, Oro opens a new way for users to preserve value, earn yield, and participate in Solana’s Real World Assets ecosystem.
